ABOUT THE PROJECT

This project transformed a 2500 Sq-Ft Grade II listed thatched holiday home into a fully automated smart property while respecting its heritage character. Careful planning and pre-wiring were carried out to discreetly integrate technology into the home, ensuring modern convenience without compromising its traditional features. The system delivers centralised video distribution, multi-room audio, and intuitive Control4 automation, bringing together lighting, heating, and security under one seamless platform.

Designed for both comfort and entertainment, the home now benefits from discreet ceiling speakers, outdoor Garden Array audio for summer evenings, and a robust WiFi network covering every corner of the property. Security was also a key focus, with a full intruder alarm system, motion sensors, and a smart video doorbell to provide peace of mind while the family is away. By blending cutting-edge smart home technology with sensitive design, the result is a future-ready holiday home that’s both functional and beautifully in keeping with its historic setting.
